Most of the things on this site are made from scraps of willow limbs from my willow furniture business. I am like a quilt maker in that I keep all the scraps and try to make something out of them. Many of the things I have listed here are made from willow “leftovers”. It’s like recycling in a way. I think it’s more responsible than putting scraps in the burn pile. If I can figure out a way to use them it makes Mother Nature and me both smile. I have been into arts and crafts most of my life and in the past 15 years have devoted myself full time to my passion for willow furniture and accessories. Willow Candle Holders
Our beautiful Aspen Candle Holders make the perfect addition to your country or primitive decor year round. Clusters of pinecones adorn the front and raffia circles the candle. We also use forest lichen and moss to add a little color to the arrangement. Each candle comes complete with a contained tea light. By using a contained candle these holders will last and last. Replacement tealights can be found in many fragrances and colors.

These “Twiggy” frames are so much fun to create. We make them in all sizes ranging from 5x7 up to 16x20. We construct the base frame from salvaged lumber with glued and pressed corners. We add corner reinforcement to the corners on larger sizes. We then start attaching the twigs - handpicking each one to fit closely to it’s neighbor. After the entire wooden frame base is covered, we select forked twigs that add the individual character and beauty to the frame. We ship the frame ready for you to add the glass and your favorite photo, print, pressed flowers, etc. (The frame shown in the photo includes a print that is not included.) 
The frame shown here is called “inlaid” because of the pieces that are combined to achieve the intricate patterns you see. This frame is also made from scrapes of willow wood and twigs from our furniture business. 
I designed this frame and easel set for Christmas this year to give to family and friends on my list. I have several people that saw them sitting in my workshop and wanted to buy them. I decided to list them here as a set.
This price is for a 5x7 frame and the easel will allow you to display your frame in portrait or landscape position. The easel is approximately 13 inches tall and folds flat for shipping and storage. They look great displayed on mantels, desks, side table, etc. They also make a great gift for the person who has everything. 
Fatwood is such a luxury to have on hand and such a thoughtful gift. We use it to start a fire in the fireplace and fire pit, start charcoal briquettes, or start a campfire. Fatwood fire starter even works when it’s damp, and one small piece puts out a lot of fire. Nature provides this great wood in the lower base of Ponderosa Pine Trees. It is full of sap (actually it is what turpentine is made of) that naturally burns just like lard or fat from an animal or fish. In the pioneer days of cooking on open fires this wood was a treasure that was carried everywhere. Being without it might have meant a cold supper. Each bundle is approximately one pound in weight and is decorated with pinecones. The pinecones will also start a fire nicely themselves. These small bundles are the perfect gift or purchase several for last minute gifts. I promise you will enjoy the beautiful aroma of the fresh cut wood. 
These charming wood reindeer are hand made in my shop from willow scraps from our furniture. Each one is an individual, no two alike. Great table accents, or use larger deer for porches and yards. Makes a great gift!
These delightful little owls are made from willow wood from my furniture scrap pile. I started doing these for my daughter one Christmas to add to her collection. Through the years I have found a lot of admirers for the wise feathered creature and the number of collectors seems to be growing. My original design comes in three sizes and can be sold in singles or in sets. I will combine shipping for multiple owls being sent to the same address. Makes a great décor accent or an addition to any collection.
